Game 1 – 10 players - (1st Dave, 2nd Dan, 3rd Dean):
I won the first hand of the night with a flush vs Dave's pair of Q's
I then won the 2nd hand with A8 (2 pair) to Sharon's AK
Sharon was knocked out first with KQ vs Dan's JJ
I lost a shed loads of chips when, wrongly assuming I had K9 (full house) went all in, for Dave to call with a higher full house. Turns out I only had K4, so 2 pairs. DOH and double DOH. I never recovered from my utterly stupid move, and soon after fell with KQ to Charlie's AK.
Lee went all in with AJ, Dave called with KJ - J hit but on river a straight appeared, splitting the pot. Lee miffed.
Dave KJ again beat Charlie in a big pot with 2 pair vs AK
Dave Knocked Jude out, and then Dan knocked Charlie out.
Soon after, JJ bowed out to Dan, and Dave took out Lee.
Dan then sent Dean packing into 3rd place and a deserved point, leaving Dan and Dave heads up. In the first hand, Dan went all in with 33 and Dave called A10. Charlie then dealt an A on the flop, before JJ realised that he had dealt using the wrong pack. OOPs. Dave gutted, but the flop was re dealt with the correct pack and Dave eventually hit a 10 on the river to take the spoils.
Game 2 – 7 players - (1st Dean, 2nd JJ, 3rd Charlie):
Barry's chip stack was cremated early on with pocket Q's losing to a nut flush (Charlie). A few hands later, JJ sent me home with pocket 6's, for an early bath and wander round Tesco. Very disappointing night of poker for the blogger. This blogging malarchy is doing wonders for my game. Fan-Bloody-tastic.
JJ continues:
"Dean first; me second; for the record a steaming Charlie 3rd.
Dean was a monster leader after taking Dave out. I was massive short-stack and doubled up to Charlie's delight with A5 versus AK. Charlie got some chips back and went all in against Dean with second pair. Dean called with straight draw and KO'd Charlie. Heads-up I doubled up with 78. Dean was getting worried when he raised all-in with AJ and I called with K 10. When the K hit on the turn his heart missed a beat, but the A came on the river to hand the spoils to Dean."

Tip of the Week:
I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we all could use a little more calmness in our lives. By following some simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil Show, you too can find inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started and never finished."
So I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished. Before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of Bartenura, a bottle of Vodka, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a bottle of Sabra, a bag of Maltesers, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Kettle crisps and a box of Milk Tray.
You have no idea how freaking good I feel.
Have a good day.
